Bar or Bat Mitzvah in Israel
We would be delighted to facilitate the celebration of your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah in Israel, helping you to connect your family to thousands of years of Jewish history.
A classic ceremony site is around the Kotel (Western Wall) in Jerusalem, with Orthodox people often preferring the main section of the Kotel (which has separate prayer areas for men and women), and others preferring the Davidson Centre, also known as the Southern Wall, where men and women pray together. Other locations worth considering are Masada, for its stunning views and myth like status in Jewish and Israeli history, and several sites in the North including Zippori with its stunning mosaic floored synagogue and Um El Kanatir – perhaps Israel’s best preserved example of an ancient synagogue, and our best kept secret for where to hold an utterly memorable and special celebration ceremony!
At Pomegranate Travel, we are experts at crafting inter-generational tours, with a Bar or Bat Mitzvah ceremony perfectly set within the tour. We also offer an in-house celebrations team who provide party planning services. Please see here for further information about our special family celebration tours.
It was profoundly moving to return to Israel after so many years. At many levels, so much had changed, but at the core, I found it the same from my memories.
