Tangier lies at the Northern most tip of Morocco, and faces across the Straits of Gibraltar directly towards Europe - it is in other words, the edge of Africa.

Tangier, a bustling port city in northwestern Morocco, serves as a gateway to Africa and Europe, offering a captivating blend of cultures, tradition and modernity.  As it looks out to Europe and has long been defined as a place where people meet and exchange ideas and goods, it naturally developed a bohemian vibe, attracting artists and writers over the ages.  In addition to its picturesque coastline which one can happily walk thanks to the redeveloped corniche, it has a charming medina which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one can easily immerse oneself in the sights, sounds, and aromas of this bustling labyrinth.  The iconic Cave of Hercules, a natural wonder steeped in mythology, and Cape Spartel, where the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean meet are also not to be missed.  Tangier is also home to some excellent museums including the Kasbah Museum, which showcases the city’s fascinating past through historical artifacts and artwork, and the Tangier American Legation Museum where one can learn more about the history of  Morocco – US relations, and the role of the US in Tangier during the second world war.  Lastly, Tangier is home to some beautiful historic churches and synagogues which are not to be missed overlooked on heritage tours.  It will be no surprise that Tangier is home to some excellent fish restaurants which are perfect for a lunch stop whilst touring!
