With our team of travel-obsessed explorers, we take pride in sharing our Israel, Jordan and further related adventures with you. As many clients return to us for advice with further trips once they have travelled Israel and Jordan with us, we are happy to share our knowledge of other destinations which often offer cultural or historic synergies with touring you will have done with us here in Israel and the Middle East. Here you can read about some of our recent cultural encounters, newly tested tours, just discovered restaurants, and hotel openings - all part of a regular day at the office here at Pomegranate! We hope some of this inspires you to join the adventure with us.

What are the protests in Israel (really) about? What is the 'freedom' takeaway?
It is two days before Passover, the Jewish celebration of freedom, and I am moved to write about the current demonstrations for freedom taking place in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and wider Israel, and inside Israel’s most important institutions, the Knesset (parliament), the IDF (army), the Histadrut (trade union association), and the Universities. Pomegranate is not […]

Hotel Review: Four Seasons Sharm El Sheik
Sharm el Sheik is not a value add location. As someone obsessed with cultural touring, purpose created tourist beach towns are not usually top of my list. But – and here’s a big but – every now and again even I need a place where I can stare out at the sea and exist in a fantasy paradiscial […]

New Year: New Action
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is upon us again. At the end of a long period of reflection, now is the time to act. In 2022 it might seem more than a little archaic to blow a ram’s horn – otherwise known as a Shofar – to trumpet the new year. Yet this loud and proud […]

The serenity and beauty of the desert during the day is magnificent, while the star-studded desert night sky is, literally, awesome. We were particularly impressed by the architecture and decor of the hotel […]

Gluten Free Israel
Here at Pomegranate, for better or worse, we have a wealth of knowledge about living and travelling Israel gluten free. Not just one, but two of our longest standing office team, have children who are celiac, so at least a couple of us live the reality of Gluten Free Israel on a daily basis. The good news is that with just a little bit of knowledge, Israel is fairly easy to travel gluten free. And combined with our complimentary concierge service for all Pomegranate clients, it's a doddle!

Epic Greece
Over the years many of our return clients have asked us about travel to nearby Greece. Like Israel it is rich in ancient history, blessed with impressive landscapes, and has an exciting Mediterranean culinary scene. Greece is also home to important Jewish history, and offers outstanding family resorts.

New Year Ponderings
Here in Israel, we celebrate Rosh HaShana, the Jewish New Year. As the annual holiday cycle continues its course, oblivious to our changed circumstances, we feel how everything is different. And yet the traditional themes of soul searching and scrutiny endure and are arguably more available to us this year than ever. Seasonal Questions Rabbi […]

Earlier this summer, our family set off to the North of Israel together with several other families, the usual trunk load […]
